Hi! I’m Rev Rachel Harris
I reside in York County Pennsylvania, a wife of 12 years, Mother of 3 children, 2 cats, 1 dog and a bearded dragon.
I am a doubly certified Minister by The Universal Life Church, as well as the Church of Gnome.
Yes, I can, do, and will do ceremonies in a pointy conical hat. or Costume
Why?
Well, my father is an inactive Reverend who met my mom at Grace Bible college. They were both raised Catholic but chose Lutheranism by college and have gone through phases of activity and inactivity within the church on their paths.
I was encouraged to explore and learn about other religions while growing up very active with our church throughout elementary middle and even active with Young Life through high school.
I never officially chose one thing; I consider myself a Christian due to the whole act in a “Christ like manner with grace forgiveness and empathy” and “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” thing and just being kind to everyone I can. However, I see myself more of a Spiritual Agnostic as I believe all religions have their place and validity, but none have it all right, there is no one right way for everyone.
I still try to learn more and more about traditions and the beauty of the one thing that spans them all. Love and happiness, being something everyone deserves.
I’ve always looked at myself as someone who can bring a smile to others when it’s needed. I would often say to myself and others that my reason for existing is to make people happy. I thought that meant I should be an actor or stand-up, but it never really clicked.
Then one day, I saw an advertisement about The Church of Gnome and getting ordained to do weddings.
It hit me that this was a way I could bring joy to more. I can add a twist of whimsy for those who want it.
I realized after doing a lot of research on different training for different ceremonies that I should probably get a ULC certification as well, since they have a lot of certifications and classes… and, well, some people won’t want me dressed up as a Gnome to perform their wedding… but some might.
So, I’m now able to faithfully and with nothing but good intent and love in my heart perform unity/marriage/commitment/unification ceremonies for multiple different faiths and communities.
I cannot wait to hear from you so we can find out if I’m right to help fill your ceremony with joy!

“Dearly Beloved
We are blessed this day in this place under this sky to celebrate love and the commitment to love that these before us have and wish to declare to the world.
Together we witness a milestone in their life and love, the ripples of which will be felt through-out their future.
For marriage is a change. So, there will be change. As they grow together as a couple they will be the same but different forever for better and worse.
This is a moment to embrace, and remind us of the power of love...
Love so strong that it makes us want to tell everyone and have them celebrate too.
Marriage is a leap—not just of love but of imagination. It’s choosing to wake up beside your favorite co-conspirator every day,
whether plotting wild adventures or debating what qualifies as breakfast.
It is equal parts poetry and mundanity with just a hint of whimsy tying them together with love.”
